Oral Appliance Therapy

Oral appliances are well researched and recognized in both medical and dental communities as a safe and effective snoring and sleep apnea treatment.  One goal of oral appliance therapy is to provide a less cumbersome solution for snoring and mild to moderate sleep apnea.  Oral appliances can also be used in combination with CPAP to improve comfort for severe cases.

How does it work?

The device is worn over the teeth – like a mouth guard – and works by gently repositioning the lower jaw forward during sleep.  This realignment creates more space in the airway, stabilizes the lower jaw and tongue, and increases muscle tone in the throat.
